Cost Center

Cost centers are used to identify a segment (or segments) of the business which require separate financial reports. Cost centers are used in combination with accounts on all transactions that post to the general ledger.

Cost Center Fields

Cost Center	The cost center ID.
Cost Center Name	The cost center name.
Status	The status of the account: A = active, I = inactive

Note: Users must assign a cost center to account numbers that begin with 10 (checking or cash accounts).

Note: At least one cost center must be designated as the default cost center. When first installed, Net•Yield creates the default cost center 000000 (ALL). The default cost center may be renamed.
